Regarding his musical career, Armaan Malik says: “I have a very clear vision of building my unique character”

Although he comes from a family of musicians, Armaan Malik has always made it clear that he just wants to be himself.
While talking about his development as a singer, Armaan told IANS, “I had a very clear vision of building my unique personality from the start of my profession.”
“Everyone around you expects you to follow the same path and certainly has everything planned for you along the way when you come from a family steeped in musical greatness. But I was aware that I wanted to succeed on my own merits and not rely on my last name to advance my career,” he added.
Armaan is the nephew of Anu Malik and the son of musician Daboo Malik. He is the brother of musician Amaal Mallik.
“I even applied for an audition at the age of nine for the famous Indian singing contest “Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs” using only my first name, Armaan. I ended up in the top 10 of competition. I just did this because I secretly wanted to know that I could choose my own path and not face discrimination because of my famous musical family,” he added.
The ‘Bol do na zara’ hitmaker added, “The road after the reality show was exciting. I started singing for many commercial jingles and voice overs for well known brands in different Indian languages. I met some incredibly amazing songwriters and music producers during this process, and they eventually gave me my Bollywood reading breaks in movies like “Bhootnath” and “Taare Zameen Par” (as a young singer).
