Residents and staff at Chorleywood Beaumont care home in Chorleywood, Hertfordshire enjoyed an afternoon of smiles with a fabulous performance which took place at the home.
Pupils from grades one through six at the Russel School, led by their music teacher, Christine Deeley, donned Easter bonnets and performed a selection of classic hits, including Beatles songs and a fantastic rendition of “When the Saints go Marching in”.
Residents joined in the chanting and clapped and danced. The house hospitality team also provided a variety of sweet and savory treats for guests to enjoy during the show.
Lifestyle Coordinator Helen Abbott said, “Our residents and guests had a wonderful day singing along with the wonderful performers.
“We do our best to provide a wide range of activities and entertainment at Chorleywood Beaumont as part of the Residents Lifestyle Enrichment Program and this was one of our favourites.”
Hilary, a retired teacher and resident of Chorleywood Beaumont, said: ‘I haven’t heard some of these songs for many years. Classics never go out of style.
“It was such a wonderful afternoon that brought back fond memories of my many years teaching at Chalfont Primary School.”
