Some of Aotearoa’s greatest musical luminaries gather at NCMA for one night only, with the Lucien Johnson Quartet promising a sumptuous evening of haunting music.

Described as “a saxophonist and composer of rare excellence and courage” by the Arts Foundation 2018, Lucien Johnson won APRA New Zealand’s 2021 Jazz Composition of the Year and was nominated twice for Jazz Artist of the Year.

Known for his powerful and evocative sound, this concert will feature tracks from his new album Wax///Wane, which has already garnered international attention.

Joined by acclaimed musicians Jonathan Crayford (piano), Tom Callwood (double bass) and Cory Champion (drums), this event promises to be one your ears will never forget.
